Stacey’s passion for art started when she was a child drawing horses in a little room under the basement stairs. Since then, she’s ventured into stained glass, metal art, watercolor, acrylics, ceramics and oil with cold wax. She also uses pastels, graphite, mixed media and batik dye on fabric including silk scarves and clothing.
Most of the time her art is often intuitive, loose and abstract or surreal, preferring a fun a creative touch over photorealism. She’s taken art classes at Dunedin Fine Art Center, the Morean in St. Petersburg, the West Pasco Art Guild with Joye Moon and Lionel Sanchez, and at the Art of the Carolinas in Raleigh with Tom Lynch, Bob Burridge, Kathie George, Lisa Boardwine & Jodi Ohl.
